I urge my government officials to allow victims to meet with the person who harmed them. Victim-offender dialogue can be very helpful to victims when facilitated by organizations that are trained to assist them. Prison officials should assist victims and restorative justice organizations in pursuing this process of restoration when requested by the victim.
